MEET BEN – session drummer and producer

Ben’s fascination with quality sound recording stems all the way back to his early years. At age 11 he began saving up for a top of the line hi-fi system, which a few years later, became the foundation for his explorations of audio and stereo sound design. For years Ben remained a high-end audio enthusiast while DJ’ing several nights a week at various local youth clubs around Copenhagen county. Before all of this, Ben had started playing the drums at age 7, which ultimately ended up becoming his main focus and while attending a technical high school studying electronics, Ben along the drums began to play the guitar at age 16 and later the piano at age 18.

After high school, Ben attended Drummers Collective School of Music in NYC followed by acceptance for and studies at the 5 year music major program at the acclaimed Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.

In 2002, he moved to Los Angeles where he has been working ever since as a full time musician and musical director. Ben is also the founder and main performer of the acclaimed theatrical drum and dance show “Street Beat” www.streetbeattheshow.com.
